Today was the second stage of the Tour of Belgium.
It was the first time that a stage of the Tour of Belgium started in Lochristi and I was there…

Last week, me and Hans Van Rafelghem were assigned to photograph at the Eco-fair in Lochristi (Belgium).
Our job was to make portraits of the people who came to the Eco-fair with their bicycle. Those who didn’t come by bicycle could use one of the bicycles, which were placed at their disposal by the municipality.
All the portraits which were made can be seen on: www.ticor.be/lochristifietsdorp
Some examples of the portraits Hans and I made…

This year was the first time that I participated in the 2011 Creative Photography Awards.
This, annual, photography contest is organised by the “Center for Railroad Photography & Art“. The Center is an American, nonprofit arts organization that preserves and presents significant images of railroading. Besides organising an annual photography contest, the center also publishes its own journal (Railroad Heritage) and organises exhibitions and conferences.
This years contest theme was: “A story in three photographs”
I entered following three photographs :
The results of the contest was recently announced.
I didn’t make it into the top three, but my entry was selected for recognition in the Center for Railroad Photography & Art’s 2011 Creative Photography Awards in the “Judge Also Liked” category.
As a reward my photographs will be published in the Center’s magazine “Railroad Heritage” and they will be exhibited, together with the photographs of the other winners, in the California State Railroad Museum.
